Terms of Service

Welcome to Cobnote ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using cobnote.com and our services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cobnote. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Description of Service

Cobnote is an AI-powered note-taking assistant. It allows you to record audio, upload PDFs and text, and automatically generate notes, transcripts, summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and translations using third-party AI models.

3. Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload, record, or otherwise submit ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant Cobnote a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service for you.

You represent and warrant that (a) you own your User Content or have all necessary rights to upload it, and (b) your User Content does not violate any law or third-party right (including copyright, privacy, or recording-consent laws). You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to record and process any audio or material you submit.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose;
Upload content you do not have the right to use;
Record individuals without their consent where required by law;
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service;
Resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our permission;
Use the Service to generate content that infringes intellectual property, promotes hate, harassment, or violence, or violates anyone's privacy.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Some features require a paid subscription ("Premium"). Payments are processed by our payment provider (Creem). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with prior notice.

6. AI Output Disclaimer

Cobnote uses third-party AI models. AI-generated notes, summaries, quizzes, and translations may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should independently verify any output before relying on it for academic, professional, medical, legal, or financial purposes. Cobnote is not responsible for decisions made based on AI output.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including Google for sign-in, Firebase for authentication and storage, and AI model providers). Your use of these features is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and logos, is owned by Cobnote and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COBNOTE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (for example, by email or an in-app notice). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Istanbul, Türkiye, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection law.
